This 9mm cartridge from Federal Premium’s Personal Defense line of ammunition features a 124 grain jacketed hollow point Hydra•Shok projectile. The Hydra•Shok bullet debuted in 1988 after the FBI requested a bullet with better terminal ballistics, and features a unique center-post design to prevent its hollow point from becoming clogged with fabric upon penetration and thus less able to expand within its target. This bullet further features a notched jacket with a non-bonded lead core, which together provide programmed expansion.
This round’s superb accuracy, fast 1,120 fps muzzle velocity, and devastating terminal performance give it the kind of stopping power you can rely on for self-defense.
